A very intimate and supportive morning with midwife Erin Sweeney. Part of the joy of my work is all of the constant learning that comes with it. Watching people’s eyes as they perform their art or work gives my soul fire. I’ve learned to lean into the people that light that fire inside, and Erin lit a fire of curiosity. Hearing about the details of home births versus hospitals, natural treatments to help with the discomforts of growing new life and the mentalities that come to expecting mothers kept my eyes wide open.
