weddingsCommentThe Sawtooth Botanical in Hailey, Idaho was the perfect backdrop for Nicole and Jake’s summer wedding, and it was worth waiting for! These two had planned their wedding for 2020 but had to reschedule due to the pandemic, but that just made their ceremony and celebrations even more special.
Although Palm Springs is their home with their baby Danny, Nicole had grown up in Hailey and wanted to be married in her hometown and show this beautiful place to Jake’s family. They gathered their loved ones and created a beautiful and relaxed day, just as they had planned. After a relaxed and heartfelt ceremony, with the Idaho mountains as their backdrop, they celebrated under tents as a summer rainstorm swept through that evening. We’d snuck into the forest to do some bridal portraits and a surreal light and rain joined us. All part of an Idaho wedding experience hah!
The love and support from their family and people was like another guest at their wedding. It’s always a treat to work with couples who can’t wait to be married! What a treat to photograph such pure love and family!

LINDSAY AND RICK'S ELOPEMENT | LIMELIGHT HOTEL KETCHUM | IDAHO WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHER
weddings, elopementCommentLindsay and Rick created the most relaxed and charming winter elopement, two years to the date of when they were engaged. They both were a lot like their day felt, relaxed and full of love!
They met online and both were ready to stop online dating but had already made plans for a lunch date so they didn’t want to cancel and be rude. “So glad we kept it on the calendar!” Lindsay shared about their first date where they shared lunch at Temecula Creek Golf Course, yummy food and great conversation. It wasn’t long after that he asked her to marry him at the “Field of Lights “in Paso Robles wine country! They’ll be having a big celebration and ceremony with friends when it’s safe after the pandemic, but they disappeared from their home in the San Diego area to Sun Valley to secretly elope on February 13, 2021.
It was a snow day and they had an entire wing of the Limelight Hotel to enjoy, be wed and share horderves and their wedding cake made for 2! Lindsay was stunning in rose gold hues and floor length sequin gown + nude pumps. Her whole look reminded me of a fairy tale. Rick looked great in his leather jacket and ear to ear grin. I was honored to not only photograph their secret ceremony, but also to be a witness on their marriage license along with their officiant Sean Barvetto and the Limelight’s planner BJ. After the ceremony we bundled up and ran outside for some snow scenes before a quick cake cutting (which I was stoked to try because the cake tasted like it looked, perfect). I left them both to enjoy their day they’d created and giggle, champagne in hand, in their private nook looking into the mountains.

portraiture, elopementCommentSamantha and Jakub planned a perfect snow day for their wedding portraits at the Roundhouse on Bald Mountain. They made it official on New Years Eve at the Hailey courthouse and had a fondue party planned with their family for the afternoon. I met them at the Roundhouse for some portraits to document their day, at the very spot Jakub had proposed!
